Who knew I would enter the Tabernacle in Ensenada…

Several of the EGM-Mexico teacher trainers created a Tabernacle experience for the children in a local church. The children traveled through two large tents from station to station while learning about this place that had once been a sanctuary where God’s presence resided. They learned about everything from the lamb that was sacrificed, to the Golden Lampstand, to the specific dress that the priest had to wear before he entered the Holy of Holies, to the reason we don’t have a Tabernacle today. The children were fully engaged and I, along with the children, enjoyed this very creative interactive experience.

A few of the leaders who created this activity, along with the other members of the EGM-Baja training team plan to train Sunday school teachers from 5 new churches in Ensenada before the end of the year. I enjoyed meeting with team members to brainstorm ideas and discuss the most effective way to accomplish this goal. As the team meets with these new church leaders, they will share God’s heart for children with them. Also, they will equip them to teach the Bible using creative interactive ways, like the Tabernacle experience, as well as teaching them how to lead small group discussions and response activities that will help the children connect the Bible to their lives.

On this trip, I also met with the Advisory Committee in Baja (this is a leadership team made up of 9 Mexican leaders.) We had a productive meeting as we strategized about the plans we have to significantly grow EGM’s influence in Mexico during the next 3 years. One of our next steps will be to hire a Director that will oversee the work in Baja, Mexico. We are thankful to have several possible candidates. Please pray that God would point us to the person who He has chosen for this position and that He would provide the funding needed.

Thank you for the many ways you support and encourage me! I’m very thankful for the privilege to partner with you in this ministry work.

Love & Blessings,

Krysten

Sweet Kyrsten what an awesome experience for the kids and all the adults as well. It is a beautiful visual. How great you can pass it on to the other churches as EGM does with everything transferable.
We love you dearly and are proud of how God continues to use you in such life changing ways.
His love and ours,
